This Community Council has, since October 2012, served the community interests of the Froghall, Powis and Sunnybank neighbourhoods of Aberdeen.
Community Councils were established across Scotland to allow local authorities/their Councillors and other agencies become more easily aware of the opinions and needs of the communities that they serve. This includes matters such as area planning and undertaking particular initiatives. On a continuing basis, Community Councils are also legally tasked with giving their opinions on individual planning applications and licencing matters within their areas.
So, if you are a resident, please do feel free to start a conversation, contact us and/or attend our regular monthly meetings bringing forward local issues and ideas that you would like to raise. Together we can make things happen!
Our next monthly meeting is displayed on this page under "Upcoming event", starting at 7 p.m. and lasting for around 2 hours. We meet alternatively at Powis Community Centre (11 Powis Circle) and Froghall Community Centre (14 Powis Place).
Minutes and agendas of past meetings can be found under "Files" in the top menu. An agenda will be posted on this website at least a week in advance of our meeting, which can also be found in that section.
