Hello and welcome....
Hello & welcome...
This Community Council has, since October 2012, served the community interests of the Froghall, Powis and Sunnybank neighbourhoods of Aberdeen City. Indeed, Community Councils were established across Scotland to allow local authorities/their Councillors and other agencies become more easily aware of the opinions and needs of the communities that they serve. This is so whether it is in the matter of area planning and/or in the undertaking of particular initiatives. On a continuing basis, Community Councils are also legally tasked with giving their opinions on individual planning applications and licencing matters within their areas.
So, if you are a resident, please do feel free to start a conversation, contact us and/or attend our regular monthly meetings bringing forward local issues and ideas that you would like to raise. Together we can make things happen!
In response to the ongoing threat from the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic and in line with guidance from the Scottish Government and Aberdeen City Council, the Community Council have moved to online meetings for the time being.
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday 3rd. March 2021 at 7pm via the Zoom platform. It will be our A.G..M., to be immediately followed by an ordinary meeting at approximately 7.20pm. Only members of the Community Council, Police and local City Councillors will be normally able to attend these remote meetings. If however residents with general interests or particular questions and concerns on community matters also wish to participate would they please get in touch with the Secretary (whose contact details are already to be found on this page).
The agenda will be posted on this website at least a week in advance of the meeting. Please check under the Files menu option.
Lastly, please select the COVID-19 Coronavirus menu option for local information and resources on this.
